This just didn't feel "beachy" enough...
Sooo...
I threw aside my ginormous work pile and my home "to-do" list and spent two afternoons painting to produce this:
From peach walls and ceiling to while ceiling and Sea Wave walls. Ahhh...much better. :o)
Now I'm trying to decide if I want to keep the worn, weathered look on the wainscoting or if I want to paint it white and cover the visible knots in the wood. Any thoughts on that?

wow! you inspire me, but i'm tired right now. hehe
it looks great. i'd repaint the white part on bottom, like you were thinking, but that's just me.
Wow, it looks great, Beth! The bathroom in our bedroom is almost the same color and it too is a "beach bathroom". :)
I can't make out how "worn" you say the wainscoting is, but I think that may add to the beach theme. Weathered white is a classic beach look, but I'm sure it'll look great no matter what you decide to do.
<3 ya!
I loooove the new color so much! It really looks great! This makes me want to paint my bathroom...
